Wolf Medical Systems to Host Pacific Coastal CME Cruise
Wolf hosts onboard education sessions to increase patient access and improve collaboration

Vancouver, BC – Vancouver, BC - June 11, 2009 - Wolf Medical Systems, a leading national provider of electronic medical records (EMR) software for physician offices and medical clinics across Canada, is pleased to announce sponsorship of a Continuing Medical Education (CME) cruise September 26-29 2009. The cruise provides physicians and clinic managers with the opportunity to enjoy 3 days at sea, cruising from Vancouver to Los Angeles, while earning up to 6 hours of CME accredited instruction.

Wolf will hold two onboard continuing education events during this 3 day cruise to Los Angeles.

The first event will be devoted to advanced or open access concepts and how they have been applied successfully at Associate Medical Clinic, a busy 11-doctor family practice in Taber Alberta. Mr. Michael Brand, Clinic Manager for Associate Medical Clinic, will share how the clinic was able to reduce wait times and increase patient outcomes through the implementation of the principles of advanced access. Mr. Michael Brand is also past President of the Alberta Association of Clinic Managers and current President of the Medical Group Managers Association of Canada.

The second onboard CME session willl be held by Dr. Brendan Byrne, founder and president of Wolf and a practicing family physician. Dr. Byrne will review the many ways EMR software can facilitate the vision of improved patient outcomes through continuity of care. We will review how data sharing between EMRs can improve the flow of information between Family Physicians and Specialists; clinics & other remote locations (such as hospitals, clinics & home offices); facilitate collaboration & communication between physicians; ensure the security of patient information; improve patient record keeping; improve patient tracking; and improve clinical and administrative workflow for GPs, Specialists & office staff
