PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wolf Medical Systems’ EMR Solution is Certified VCUR-Compliant in Alberta

Wolf Passes All Three Rounds of Conformance Testing Since the Program’s Inception in 2001; One of only Four Vendors whose ASP Solution is also VCUR-Compliant

Vancouver, BC – May 18 – 2006 – Wolf Medical Systems, a leading provider of electronic medical records (EMR) software across Canada, today announced that Wolf Medical Suite Version 5.0 has passed the latest round of conformance testing administered by the Physician Office System Program (POSP) in Alberta. Wolf Medical Systems has now passed all three round of conformance testing since the program began in October 2001; Wolf is also pleased to be one of only four vendors who have also passed the conformance testing for the Wolf Medical Suite, ASP edition.

Commented Brendan Byrne, Wolf’s founder and president, “Wolf is excited to continue to be a significant provider of VCUR-conformant EMR solutions in Alberta. We continue to enhance and extend our solutions to meet the specific needs of the province and its medical community. We congratulate all the other VCUR-conformant vendors and look forward to continuing to serve the physician community with EMR solutions that enhance patient care in this forward-thinking province.”

Dr. Tim Kolotyluk, of Westlock Alberta was one of the first physicians to become involved with POSP when he selected Wolf Medical Suite. He commented:  “We recommend Wolf very highly. It’s intuitive and easy to learn, which is very important to us. Our physicians pick up the program quickly and tell me that they prefer Wolf to other systems that they have used. We also get a lot of residents at our clinic, and they’re usually up to speed on our system in just a couple of days.”
More about POSP & VCUR
This provincial program, now in its 3rd phase, administers government funding for eligible Alberta physicians who seek to implement an EMR solution. To ensure that vendor solutions meet provincial standards, the POSP regularly asks vendors to undergo rigorous testing against standards set out by the Vendor Conformance and Usability Requirements (VCUR). Meeting these requirements means that a vendor is considered “VCUR compliant” in Alberta, a requirement for physicians who wish to obtain government funding for their EMR implementations.  A total of 18 physician office systems offered by eight vendors have been tested against POSP’s latest set of Vendor Conformance and Usability Requirements (VCUR) and appear on the new VCUR Product List
